Returns & Refunds Policy

At Climascope, we design and supply commercial refrigeration equipment, including modular cold rooms and related products. Due to the nature of our goods, we have a limited returns policy, outlined below.

This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

  1. No Change of Mind Returns

We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect selection by the customer
  • No longer required after purchase
  • Better price found elsewhere
  • Failure to confirm site requirements, access, or suitability
  • Delays caused by freight, supply chain, or third parties

Please review product specifications carefully prior to purchase.

  1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if goods:

  • Are faulty or defective
  • Are not fit for their intended purpose
  • Do not match their description
  • Have a major failure

This policy does not exclude or limit your rights under the ACL.

  1. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Transit Damage

Damage in transit must be reported within 2 business days of delivery.

You must provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos and/or video evidence

Where possible, damage must be noted with the carrier upon delivery.

Product Faults or Defects

Other product faults must be reported within 30 days of delivery, unless covered under a longer manufacturer warranty.

Climascope reserves the right to inspect goods or request further information before determining the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the issue, we may:

  • Repair the goods
  • Replace the goods or affected components
  • Provide a refund (where required under the ACL)

4. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are handled as follows:

  • If the product is confirmed to be faulty or defective:
    Climascope will cover the reasonable cost of return freight and any required replacement delivery.

  • If the product is not faulty and the return is not required under the ACL:
    The customer is responsible for all return freight and associated costs.

Freight charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable unless the return is due to a confirmed product fault.


5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless required under the ACL:

  • Custom-configured or made-to-order products
  • Installed or partially installed equipment
  • Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, improper installation, or unauthorised modification
  • Goods used outside their intended commercial purpose

6. Order Acceptance & Cancellations

Orders placed via our website are subject to confirmation by Climascope, including payment and freight approval.

We reserve the right to:

  • Place an order on hold
  • Cancel an order where freight is not approved
  • Recover reasonable costs incurred prior to cancellation
